Our 14U boys, coached by Jeff Wenzel and Mary-Lou Van Geel travelled to Lethbridge for a 1 day event on January 30th.  A number of the boys travelled Friday to do some team bonding at Pizza Hut and the hotel waterslide.

Fortunately they managed to save some of their energy for the court and had a tremendous start to the club season.  They managed a bronze medal, beating the Canuck Red team 2-1 in the final game.  They managed to win at least 1 set against all 5 other teams in the tournament which led to a very positive experience for everyone.  

A special mention to Justin Plett who showed an absolute commitment to his team shown by his "Ball before Body" moment.  He dug a very hard hit ball with his face and the team ended up winning the point.  It was that fearless type of behaviour that led to a successful day.

They have another 2 weeks of training before their first official tournament and they are getting very excited.
