This past weekend, Zachary van Geel and Angelo Bodoso, (both from the Canada West U14 boys that earned a bronze in their indoor season), participated in the U14 Youth 1, AVA beach volleyball tournament at Valleyview Regional Park and came home with Silver medals.

With Zachary's tactics and exemplary defense and Angelo's drive and power, they defeated many tough teams to make it to the gold medal match. They played some great ball in the final, winning the first game but losing the next two to two very tough players from Sherwood Park and NAVC volleyball clubs.

They played very hard, never giving up, but were unable to stop the power hitting of the two Northern players. They look forward to practicing their block and peel which is what they will need to work on to beat this team next time they meet.
