Following the tremendous success and continuing demand for more youth volleyball options last fall, we are excited to announce the second year of our expanded youth leagues. With the CBE’s decision to continue Jr. high volleyball in the winter semester, our fall program will again feature two competitive tiers at each age group, provided we have enough athletes to support this structure.

Program Structure:

• Evaluation Process: Athletes will undergo an evaluation to determine placement.
• Tiers:
  • Tier 1 (Club Division): The strongest 48 athletes.
  • Tier 2 (Open Division): The next 48 athletes.
• Teams: Each tier will consist of teams of 12 athletes and 1 coach.

Training and Development:

• Weekly Focus: Each week, teams will focus on developing a specific skill during one or two training session.
• Game Days: Teams will participate in three game days through out the program

The Spring Youth League Volleyball program is designed to provide young athletes with an opportunity to develop their volleyball skills and have fun during the winter season. Here is a brief description of the program:

Program Overview:

• Duration: The program consists of 12 sessions in total.
• Age Groups: Participants will be divided into two age groups:

• Grade 6-7
• Grade 8-9

• Location: All sessions, including evaluations, practices, and game days, will be held at Rally Pointe (11511 35st SE, Calgary, AB).
• Cost: The program fee is $275 per participant.
• Registration Opens: Registration for the program opens on Thursday, February 15 @12:00pm.

It's important to note that accommodations won't be made for friends, which means that participants will not have the option to request specific teammates or friends to be on the same team. Teams will likely be formed based on various factors such as skill level, evaluation results, and other considerations to ensure a fair and balanced experience for all participants.

The Winter Youth League Volleyball program is designed to provide young athletes with an opportunity to develop their volleyball skills and have fun during the winter season. Here is a brief description of the program:

With the continuing demand for more youth volleyball options this fall, and with the CBE’s decision to move Jr high volleyball into the winter semester, we are going to expand our youth leagues this fall to two tiers at each age group (provided we have enough athletes to allow us to do so). 

The tiers will be decided through an evaluation process, with the strongest 48 athletes being placed in “tier 1/Club division” and the next 48 (remaining) athletes being placed in “tier 2/Open division”. 

Within each tier, teams will be comprised of 12 athletes and 1 coach, who will work together to create a competitive and fun learning, training and playing environment.

Each week the teams will focus on a specific skill during their training session and then scrimmage during their second session of the week.
